Intimate Navarre Beach Micro Wedding

The Jaekels EST. 5/16/25

There’s just something magical about a beach wedding — especially when it’s as intimate and relaxed as Austin and Grace’s wedding weekend on Navarre Beach, Florida.

Together for seven years, Austin and Grace knew they wanted their wedding day to feel true to them: laid-back, meaningful, and shared with their closest people. They chose a micro wedding surrounded by their family and friends, with the emerald Gulf waters as their backdrop.

The day began with Grace getting ready at No Shoes Beach House, the couple’s cozy Airbnb. The vibe was warm and carefree — Grace did her own makeup while surrounded by her bridesmaids, who wore flowing sage green dresses. In a beautiful personal touch, the bridesmaids hand-made all the florals and bouquets that very morning, adding to the heartfelt, DIY spirit that made the day so special.

Before the ceremony, Austin and Grace shared private vows during their first look — an intimate moment just for them, away from the gathering guests and salty breeze. The ceremony itself was right on the beach, toes in the sand and ocean waves as their soundtrack.

After the “I do’s,” everyone gathered back at the beach house for a cocktail hour and a relaxed dinner reception — the perfect way to keep the celebration personal and fun. As the sun began to set, we slipped away for sunset portraits on the sand — one of my favorite parts of the day.

When the stars came out, the party moved to Juana’s Pagodas, a local favorite for a carefree beachside after-party. From private vows to late-night laughs, every piece of this wedding weekend felt effortless, genuine, and uniquely them.

Throughout the day, I focused on capturing their story in a documentary style, letting real moments unfold naturally — from candid laughter to the quiet in-between moments that often mean the most. My goal is always to blend a documentary approach with just a touch of traditional portraits, so couples like Austin and Grace can look back and feel their day all over again.

Ricardo Solis Ortiz captured their day on video, bringing even more life to all those fleeting moments.

Intimate weddings like Austin and Grace’s are such a joy to document. They prove that small doesn’t mean less — in fact, these micro weddings are often overflowing with real connection and unscripted moments that tell your story best.

If you’re dreaming of a Navarre Beach wedding — whether it’s an intimate elopement or a laid-back wedding weekend — I’d love to help you tell your story through timeless, documentary-style photography.
